This project will be exhibited alongside my Liminal Construct series. I designed this steeple in Rhino, generated horizontal contours from the design, prepared a series of cut patterns for its 325 layers, used a CNC laser cutter to create the parts and assembly jig, and then glued all of the patterns together to make this six-foot tall physical version. The image above shows the steeple in three stages: Rhino model, Keyshot render, and finished physical form. I owe a special thanks to Seth Berry for all the help he gave on cutting and assembly.
